As ETHM’s youth advisory
arm, the
PTYC functions as the Port Towns
community-based student government
that empowers and engages youth and families in Port
Towns and County communities.
These students (age 10-17) are nominated by their schools or local
municipalities to be the youth advocacy voice in the Port Towns. Students’
selected as PTYC members resolve: (1) to attain at least a 2.0 GPA, (2) to
have a parent(s) attend meetings and activities with them, (3) to demonstrate potential to responsibly lead others, (4) to attain good character, (5) to serve
their community with their parents, and (6) to live or attend school in the
Port Towns.
